LUDLOW, MA - UWS Player of the Year, Kate Howarth, has signed a professional contract with the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). With the recent departure of US National Team star Alex Morgan to Tottenham Hotspur and Taylor Kornieck on loan to German club MSV Duisburg, Howarth is among a forwards group that includes Brazilian legend Marta and former USWNT member Sydney Leroux.
MUTINY MOVE ON TO EAST FINALS WITH 3-0 VICTORY
The New England Mutiny moved one step closer to the United Women’s Soccer National Championship finals with a convincing 3-0 victory over the Long Island Rough Riders on Friday night. In what has been the by far the most incredible goal-scoring streak in the history of United Women’s Soccer, Mutiny forward Kate Howarth scored in her 11th consecutive game for the team.
The Mutiny captain netted her 19th goal of the season and what proved to be the eventual game-winner in the 17th minute.

In front of another large crowd, the New England Mutiny defeated the Lancaster Inferno 2-1 at Lusitano Stadium on Friday night. On an evening that featured two former NWSL/WPS professionals, two National Team members and several collegiate All-Stars, it was a local high school phenom that would be the difference in this match. The New England Mutiny defeated the Worcester Smiles by a 5-0 final at Lusitano Stadium on Saturday night.
