FIVE MUTINY STARS GARNER UWS EAST HONORS

SPRINGFIELD, MA
Its the time of the year for end-of-season awards and United Women’s Soccer (UWS) has released their 2016 All-East Conference Team and individual honors. Four Mutiny players - forward Kate Howarth, midfielder Stephanie Santos and defenders Allyson Swaby & Jennifer Cafferky - were selected to the All-East Team while defender Cailynn Harding was named the team’s “Iron Woman” of the Year (given to the player who plays the most minutes for her team in the season)... NEW ENGLAND MUTINY 3, TSF ACADEMY VALKYRIES 0

EAST LONGMEADOW, MA
All that was left to play for the New England Mutiny in their regular season finale against the TSF Academy Valkyries was a second-place finish in the UWS East Conference. The Mutiny (6-4) would finish it early as two first half goals from Kate Howarth propelled the team to a 3-0 win over the Valkyries (3-4-3) at East Longmeadow High School. WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA
Familiar storylines from their first season in United Women’s Soccer (UWS) abounded for the New England Mutiny in their match vs. 2016 East champion New Jersey Copa F.C. at West Springfield High School. For the fifth time this year, the New England scored the opening goal of the match, only to relinquish the lead. MUTINY UPDATE: WEST SIDE STAR JOINS TEAM

SPRINGFIELD, MA
The New England Mutiny (5-3) host the 2016 United Women’s Soccer (UWS) East Conference champion New Jersey Copa F.C. (7-1-1) this Saturday night at West Springfield High School (7:00 PM). It will be the first time they’ve played at West Side since the 2008 season and the first time at the new Clark Field facility. SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY
The New England Mutiny were victorious in their final regular season road game of the year, as they defeated the Long Island Rough Riders by a 2-1 score on a 90th minute goal from veteran forward Deb Nelson. But in the end, the Mutiny (5-3) lost when it came to their ultimate goal, as Saturday’s game against the Rough Riders (3-3-2) at Cy Donnelly Stadium was truly their last road game of 2016... The New England Mutiny played the third game of their month-long road trip at Mercer County Community College against New Jersey Copa F.C. on Saturday afternoon, falling by a 2-1 score to the first-place side in the East Conference of United Women’s Soccer (UWS) in an exciting back-and-forth match. The New England Mutiny had an opportunity to end their two-game weekend road trip with another win after taking a 1-0 lead against the TSF Academy Valkyries. NEW ENGLAND MUTINY 3, LONG ISLAND ROUGH RIDERS 2

EAST LONGMEADOW, MA
Old adversaries met on the pitch for the first time in 15 years at East Longmeadow High School, as the New England Mutiny hosted the Long Island Rough Riders in a United Women’s Soccer (UWS) East conference match. It turned out to be a tale of two halves, with the Rough Riders (1-2-1) controlling the opening 45 minutes while the Mutiny (3-1) did a little bit more in the second half, winning by a 3-2 score...
