Rebecca Mays is another veteran addition to the 2012 roster alongside previously announced signings Ciara McCormack, Carrie Patterson, Kelsey Hood and Kacey Richards. Mutiny fans know all about Mays already as the hard-nosed forward/midfielder was a key cog for the now-defunct Boston Aztec Breakers Reserves the past two campaigns (11 goals, three assists, 2nd in team scoring both seasons), who won the WPSL Championship in 2010 and reached the National Semifinals in 2011.

The 2011 WPSL All-East Conference honoree has proven to be a clutch performer, as in 2010 she scored the double-overtime, 119th minute game-winner in Boston's 2-1 East Semifinal victory and assisted on the game-winning goal in the last-minute of double OT in the East Final win over the Long Island Fury. In the 2010 WPSL National Final, the All-Tournament Team selection would score the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute in the 2-1 victory over Ajax America.

"Becca has been a thorn in the Mutiny's side since she landed in the Northeast," said Ferrara. "I was tired of seeing her score against us every time we played Boston, so we had to sign her."
