Caitlin Alves capped off a successful Fall 2011 season with the Hartford Hawks with her National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Third Team All-American distinction - the first for a Hawks' player in over a decade.

The Ludlow, MA-native finished a career-year with a team best 10 goals and added five assists for 25 points. The midfielder led the America East Conference in goals per game (0.6), points per game (1.4) and game-winning goals (6), while ranking second in the league in total points.

Alves was named the America East Fans' Choice Player of the Year and was an All-Conference First Team honoree. She also received All-Academic Team distinction and represented the Hawks on the COSIDA Academic All-America District I First Team.

"Caitlin Alves had a breakout year with Hartford this fall and I am glad to sign a player that hails from the same hometown as myself," said Ferrara.
