#5 DANIELLE DAKIN

Danielle Dakin - named the 2008 Massachusetts Girls Soccer Player of the Year - was the youngest player ever signed in franchise history, coming to the Mutiny three years ago as a high school sophomore. Dakin earned significant time for the Mutiny in the midfield that year, helping the team reach the 2008 Final Four where she was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

This past fall in her first season playing for Len Tsantiris and the UConn Huskies, Danielle started in every match & helped the team make it to the NCAA 2nd Round (11-8-2 record). Expected to make an impact again this season, Dakin is one of the most talented players in the Massachusetts soccer scene.

In her senior season at Minnechaug Regional H.S., she led the team to a 20-1-1 record and a state championship. Dakin was a two-time All-New England & All-State pick, as well as a three-time All-Scholastic choice and a NSCAA/adidas All-American. Not only successful on the soccer field, she accomplished a lot in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society.
