MUTINY OFFERS "DONATE A YOUTH TICKET" PROGRAM The WPSL Elite organization gives fans from around the country a chance to contribute; individual game tickets now on sale SPRINGFIELD, MA (04/19/12) - The New England Mutiny have set up a new initiative in the build-up to the kickoff of their inaugural 2012 WPSL Elite season. With the "Donate A Youth Ticket" Program, fans and friends of not only the Mutiny but women's soccer in general from around the country can contribute to both the organization and the future of the game itself.
For each donation of $25, New England will give a Youth Season Ticket to a local youth girl's soccer player. The Mutiny have been an anchor for the development of the women's game in western Massachusetts since 1999, with a bevy of local players who have taken their experience playing for the team to the highest levels of women's soccer in the world.
With this DAYT Program, women's soccer fans can make WPSL Elite action a "date" to remember on the calendar for seven nights this summer for a local youth girl's soccer player.
"WPSL Elite games will be the highest level of women's soccer in the United States today," said New England Mutiny owner Joe Ferrara. "This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity for young soccer players to see teams like the Boston Breakers, WNY Flash and Chicago Red Stars... right here in western Massachusetts."
The 2012 WPSL Elite season for New England kicks off on Saturday, May 12th, as they take on their old rival Paul Riley and his New York Fury side at East Longmeadow H.S. (7:00 PM kick-off) in East Longmeadow, MA. The Mutiny will play six (6) home games at ELHS this summer before moving to Northampton H.S. (Northampton, MA) for their season finale vs. F.C. Indiana on Saturday, July 21 (7:00 PM kick-off).
New England faces a stiff challenge as they not only face familiar foes from their time in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), but teams from Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) as well. The Western New York Flash (Sunday, June 24), Boston Breakers (Saturday, July 7) and Chicago Red Stars (Thursday, July 19) will travel to western Massachusetts this summer and the Mutiny will need all the support they can muster.
Season, Field-Level (limited quantity) & "Pro Flex Pack" ticket packages are already on sale. The "Pro Flex Pack" caters to the three (3) matches versus WNY, Boston and Chicago. There will be a limited number of gate tickets available for those games, so fans are encouraged to purchase them early and through our online ticketing service powered by WePay.com.
Individual game tickets have officially gone on sale as well for all seven (7) home matches. There has been heightened interest locally in the Mutiny's 2012 WPSL Elite schedule, so order your tickets early. For more information, please visit the "Tickets" page on the team's official website at MutinySoccer.com. |
